While my client, Steve, had lived in his Fulton Market home for 18 years, the brown/gold/tan color scheme wasn’t the preferred palette for today’s buyers. He didn’t want to spend time and money preparing for the sale at first. To demonstrate the value of providing buyers with a “move-in-ready” home, I ran an analysis and presented him with two different list price recommendations – one with the updates, and the other without. After much consideration, he took my advice and did all of the recommended work. His home looked beautiful.

In order to generate more buzz and interest before the initial listing launch, I grouped all of the first showings at the weekend open house.
